Murals

WHEN IT HAS TO BE LARGE

Gabeaux brings the same levels of detail, thoughtful visual content and dynamic composition to large scale murals that she does in her smaller works on paper and painting. Below are examples of her murals for various clients and public art projects in the Atlanta area.

Sceptre Brewing Arts

Based out of the Oakhurst neighborhood, Sceptre Brewing Arts was built to offer funky craft beer in a purposely designed space. This large mural covers the entire back wall of the brewery. One of the challenges of this project is the client requested the grain of the wood not be lost beneath the pigment of flat paint, so I developed a transparent mix of paint to allow just for that.

Forward Warrior

Forward Warrior is an ongoing public art project in the Cabbagetown neighborhood along Wylie Street. In 2018 I was invited to participate and since then I have updated my spot on a mostly yearly basis.

Stacks Squares

Stacks Squares is an ongoing public art project in the Cabbagetown neighborhood adjacent to the Stacks building. Every few months a new round of artists are invited to paint one of squares in a large concrete wall. The murals are painted over with new ones on a continual basis.

Sabbath Brewing

Sabbath Brewing is a brewery and metal venue in East Atlanta. Although a smaller scale than the other works described here, “Lucinda”, the keg demon, covers the cooler door.
